Summer Service Project 2026
What is Solo Summer Service?
Solo Summer Service is an initiative created by the Eastern Canada District to encourage Key Clubbers across Canada to continue serving their communities during the summer. No matter where you are, whether you’re traveling, working, or staying local, you have the opportunity to spread kindness and educate others wherever you are. This initiative is also open to non-Key Clubbers and members of other branches of the Kiwanis Family.
About Erika's Lighthouse
Erika’s Lighthouse is an organization focused on depression education and suicide prevention for students. Their goal is to make mental health education a larger part of classrooms and clubs so students have the resources and support they need for their mental well being.

Erika's Lighthouse Social Media Campaign
This summer, the Eastern Canada District invites people to take part in promoting mental health awareness in support of Erika’s Lighthouse. Starting on July 13th, each week of the project has a different theme relating to mental health:
- Exercise – July 13-19
- Relaxation – July 20-26
- Inspiration – July 27-August 2
- Kindness – August 3-9
- Awareness – August 10-16
For every new topic, there will be an activity released on our Instagram page @ecdkci where Key Clubbers can participate in educating themselves and others on mental health.
