Governor's Project
This service year, the Eastern Canada District aims to help raise money for Sleeping Children Around the World in an effort to help improve sleeping conditions for children all around the world. We hope to support SCAW’s mission of ensuring that every child has access to a good night’s sleep to improve their well being and quality of life. OUR GOAL is to raise $4000 for 100 bed kits and we are encourage all Key Clubs in Eastern Canada to participate!
About Sleeping Children Around the World
Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW) is a registered Canadian charity that provides bedkits for children living in challenging conditions all around the world. For every $40 donated, a child receives a mattress, bedding, mosquito net, and other essentials for safe, comfortable sleep. 100% of donations go toward producing the bed kit. The contents of the bed kit are made in the country of distribution and tailored to each country’s unique needs. The Sleeping Children Overseas Partners meet with school and community leaders to select who can most benefit from a bed kit. To learn more about SCAW, visit their website https://www.scaw.org/.
