Kind Words, Warm Hearts Service Project

Introducing the Winter Service Project for 2022

The end of 2022 has marked some major accomplishments for all our Key Clubs across the Eastern Canada District. We’ve also faced various challenges and hardships this year, whether it be a bad grade, unfortunate news, or just a difficult time. Nonetheless, we’re still standing!

In light of this, and the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations, we at ECD Key Club believe that there is no better time to spread the holiday cheer and much needed warmth to communities than now. As such, the Membership Development & Growth Committee (MD&G) is thrilled to be introducing the Kind Words, Warm Hearts Service Challenge (KWWH)! It will be between December 12th, 2022 and January 6th, 2023.

What is the KWWH Project?

Key Clubbers will be challenged to create journals based on the 12 prompts given by the MG&D Committee, over the span of 12 different days. These prompts will be posted on the Challenge Calendar provided in the next few pages, which will have some guides to answering the prompts. There will also be 3 bonus prompts. Members can earn between 12 and 15 volunteer hours by participating in this challenge! Moreover, Key Clubbers will have the option to create their journals physically or digitally.

After completing the challenge, Key Club members may donate the journals to a local community center, library, hospital, or give it to a friend, neighbour, or family member. The ECD can only do this with your help!

Our Goal

To create 100 KWWH journals this winter throughout the different communities in Canada!
