How to Charter/Start a New Key Club

Chartering a New Club

Key Club is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people and make a positive impact on the community. If you’re interested in starting a new Key Club in your school, reach out to our governor at governor.ecdkeyclub@gmail.com and follow these few steps!

1. Find a sponsor (if available)

If there’s a local Kiwanis Club or organization in your community, decide if you want to enlist them as a sponsor. Otherwise, feel free to reach out to our governor or Key Club International for help.

2. Find an advisor

Select one or more interested staff advisors to be the club advisor.

3. Recruit more members!

Reach out to students who share your passion for making an impact. Each club must have at least 11 members in order to be chartered.

4. Plan for Club Dues and Funding

First-year members are expected to pay dues/fees and annual fees will apply.

5. Fill out the chartering form

Head to this website: https://slp-chartering.kiwanis.org/ to fill out the chartering form to Key Club International!
